3 Characteristics To Make A Food Logo Design Absolutely Mouth Watering

How often do you see a restaurant's logo in a magazine or newspaper and make that instant judgment about the place based on their brand mark?
Always!
What would you think of a local pizza place with a light blue colored image of a polar bear having a slice of a pizza?
Chances are that you would never want to visit there because just looking at the image makes you think of a cold and stiff pizza slice.
Logos play as important role in the dining industry as it does in others. A food place pictorial with the right colors, graphics and effects is most likely to appeal to your customers even if it's a place that they haven't heard of before.
So, let's see what characteristics can make a food logo design mouth-watering.
1. Food related images or symbols:
Use images in your company mark that are related to the type of meals you are serving in your restaurant. For example, for a Mexican dinette, you can ...
... use chili and jalapeno graphics in the trademark. For a sea food diner, you can use illustrations of fish, lobsters or crabs along with a set of fork and knife. For a Chinese place, you can use chop sticks, noodles or dragons illustrations to give the brand mark a Chinese effect.
2. Use of bright colors:
Most of the eating places use a lot of bright colors especially red and yellow in their logo. Not only that, the interior of restaurants also consists of a lot of reds.
Ever wondered why that is?
According to the color psychology, red is a color that that motivates energy, enthusiasm and increases metabolism so when you are dining in a restaurant with a lot of red tones, you tend to eat more.
The same energy and liveliness should be reflected in eating place brand mark as well which will make it eye catching and stimulating. Since the dining business is not as serious as the law firms or corporate industries, use of bright tones make it relatable to the customers. But be careful not to use more than three different colors in the dining trademark lest it looks like a rainbow. Also, if you are using bright colored text, then make sure that you use a lighter toned background and if the background consists of a solid dark shade then make sure that the text is lighter toned or in complementary shades in the business image.
3. Curvy fonts or fonts with italic effect:
The effect that a food logo wants to create in the mind of its customers is one of comfort and casualness. The customer should feel that he can walk into your dinette and feel at ease and comfortable. Fonts with a slightly curvy or italic effect are most appropriate in this case as they give the air of a calm and relaxed attitude. You can also keep the text at an angled alignment to enhance the trademark's creativity.
If you want your restaurant trademark to be as delicious as the meals that you are serving, make sure that you follow these characteristics in the business image designing process.
