The world's most popular drink is coffee, so you can find people preparing to brew coffee in homes around the globe. Making a mug of coffee may seem like a simple endeavor, but the truth is that there are many different ways to prepare a cup of this acidic black liquid. Part of this is owing to the reality that coffee is not all the same; there are a few different varieties of coffee beans that each taste a bit different. And even the manner in which coffee is roasted and ground can have an effect on the way it tastes and the way it should be brewed. Whether you are a coffee expert or just someone who enjoys a hot cup of joe each morning, what brewing method should you use at home?

In the USA and other countries, the grand majority of people depend on drip coffee makers to provide them with their morning brew. A drip coffee maker puts hot water through the coffee grounds and then lets it drip down into a receptacle; a filter is used to make sure that the grounds do not get into the drink. Since they are highly popular, they are made in many different styles and sizes; a small drip machine can prepare just 2 or ...
... 4 cups in one cycle while larger ones make gigantic 10 or 12 cup pots.

Percolator coffee makers are not as popular as drip models, but they are still utilized by many people to brew coffee. Both electric and stove top percolators can be found; they brew a fresh cup of coffee by pushing boiling water up through the coffee grounds. Some people call percolators camping coffee pots since they are often used in the outdoors over a fire. But that does not mean that you cannot brew with a percolator at home; some coffee fanatics believe that a percolated cup of joe is richer and more flavorful than a drip cup.

There are additional styles of brewing coffee, including using a French press or an espresso machine. French presses are used by pouring hot water over the grounds, allowing them to sit for several minutes, and then using the piston inside the press to separate the grounds.

Cerain people feel overwhelmed with all their options of how to brew coffee. The ideal way to choose is to make coffee using several different methods and then decide which cup has the most flavorful brew.
