I am a stockbroker, a title which alone entails that I am a risk taker. It should come as no surprise to you then, that my extra-curricular interests lie in playing poker. In fact, I have long dreamed of relinquishing my position on Wall Street to play poker professionally. After all, I've made my millions. I have some room to gamble comfortably for a while, without jeopardizing my assets or my lifestyle. Recently, I've had some success playing online poker, making it really tempting to loosen my tie, pull up a chair, and have some fun.

When my buddies ask me about my online poker pursuits, I explain that I read a lot of reviews and only play on the top poker sites with the poker bonus deals. Depending on what site(s) you sign up with, you can deposit as little as $5 and receive a matching amount of free poker money. This is where your own luck and skill have to come into play--really good players can potentially stack up a substantial bankroll by taking advantage of these deals...play in a number of rooms and get your deposits matched every time. If you're good, this is a no-brainer. Careless players, however, ...
... can easily end up in the red if they don't play their cards right.

Now that I've been playing online poker for about a year, I've not only had success in the virtual world, but the practice has helped me sharpen my strategies at the real poker table, too. I've so enjoyed my opponents' astonishment at the seemingly instant progress I've made--as if I've been consulting with some magical poker wizard or something. As I explained before, my secret is simple--just take the poker bonus deals and play your best.

I can't pretend like I single-handedly pioneered this technique...quite the opposite actually. Poker bonus whoring is the most popular method of building a bankroll from scratch online. It's so popular in fact, that some masters of the art are being called "professional bonus whores." I quite like the title--it's definitely part of the appeal of the job itself! What has happened is the astute players, like myself, have come to discover how lucrative bonus whoring can be.

It's important for all aspiring bonus whores to remember that all online poker sites were not created equal. Each site has its own terms, requirements and quirks. Just because a site has a big poker bonus does not mean it is better than other top poker sites. Oh, and just so you're aware, the site owners know what the bonus whores are up to, and are more than happy to oblige because even the bonus whores usually generate enough rake to make a card room at least break even on a bonus. Better yet, they still get the chance of permanently retaining that player...and digging into his wallet later!
