STEP 1:

STEP 2:
Now on the PowerPoint document view you need to copy the current URL and then add it to the page viewer. But this would show you an error message.
Thus you are required to get the URL from the popup window of PowerPoint. For doing so, you need to click on the "open in popup" button that is located at the top on the right side of navigation menu.
STEP 3:
Now you need to Create/Go to the page where you want to display the PowerPoint document. Then add a page viewer web part
Place the URL on the edit panel of page viewer web parts that was previously copied to the "Link" section and then change the appearance as per your wish or need. (You will usually require modifying the height).
Click OK and you are finished with your job. It will work well with Word Documents too.
