Hormonal changes – women do experience abnormal hair loss during pregnancy, post pregnancy phase, and menopause. Hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism also causes loss of hair.
Scalp infection– dandruff which is identified as flaky skin inflamed in nature, proves to be an obstacle in the path of blood circulation, and nutrient supply. The itchiness caused by dandruff or any other fungal infection is one of the major factors which causes hair fall.
After effect of medication – scalp diseases like lichen planus, Psoriasis can also cause hair loss. Drugs consumed for treatment of different diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, or depression can also be the chief contributory factor for your increased hair fall. Chemotherapy drugs and treatment involving radiation can also damage the roots of your hair leading to hair loss.
Artificial hair treatments – Hair clinics use products which contain good amount of ammonia for chemical treatments such as perming, ironing, or straightening can also be the major cause of hair loss.
