There are some very important factors that usually guide you when it comes to emergency vehicle lighting. You need to consider your requirements, your budget and also the vehicle, to choose which type of emergency lighting equipment you need to have. Light bars make an excellent choice when it comes to addressing the lighting requirements of emergency vehicles for several reasons. They tick most of the boxes when you look at various aspects of emergency lighting. These bars come in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit the vehicle on which the bar has to be mounted. The lengths of these bars can be as less as 16 inches and could be over 60 inches if required too.

Full-fledged 72 inch Light bars are decked with all round features that can be of great use in every emergency situation. For example, with a variety of light heads, these bars can manage 360-degree lighting. The bars offer controls that allow you to have lighting in basic as well as intense lighting modes. This not only saves energy but allows you to use the flexibility of dimmers and high intensity beams based on the situation. The bars also ...
... usually have dozens of built in flash patterns which combined with dual coloured LEDs and multiple intensity modes can be a handful when you want to create a very strong, effective and visible warning signal. It is interesting to note that mini bars don’t compromise on these features either and use 4-watt Gen III LEDs, with TIR technology to produce the same effect.

A very important part of your selection of emergency lighting is the reliability and resilience. Once again, it is Light bars which offer a significant advantage. They usually have an aluminium chassis and a sealed polycarbonate base that protects the LED lighting elements from bad weather conditions, vibration and heavy duty usage. An important advantage with the bars is the number of different kinds of light heads that come your way. These include LED strobes, the occasional halogen light heads, LED modules, alley lights, flashing takedowns and sometimes, even gyratory strobes and beacons. There are power cables, interconnect harness, driver side and passenger side cable exits and shielded waterproof cords.

Light bars can be particularly useful because they can give you a variety of mounting options. Slimmer bars for example, can be mounted at tight corners where space is a constraint. Bail or swivel brackets are used for adjusting the height and angle for further flexibility to the mounting, whether the bar is close to the rear deck or on the roof. Gyratory strobes can rotate around an axis providing 360-degree lighting. Off axis visibility is also taken care of with a variety of LED modules combined with corner strobes. These bars provide all bar as well as directional control to determine the reach and angle of the beam. Some bars even provide the flexibility of controlling individual LED modules and operating different types of flash patterns in each of them.
