More often than not, brides are the ones who are most excited and hands-on when it comes to preparing their own wedding. It’s not that the grooms are not that interested with the wedding but it’s more of giving their partner the chance to express their ideas and allow them to do what will make them happy on their special day.
Though the bride may really be happy to make the wedding preparations, they may still forget some details out of their excitement. Stress may even come eventually that may make some things remain forgotten and may lead to further problems in the future. For this reason, a wedding checklist is necessary.
Below are some of the things that must be included on the bride’s checklist:
9-12 months before the wedding:
Set the wedding date and time
Set the wedding budget
Choose a motif, style or theme
Choose and reserve the venue (church, hotel or garden)
Create your guest list
Choose the maid of honor, bridesmaids, best man and grooms men
Contact a wedding consultant
Search and choose the following:
1. Photographer
2. Videographer
...
... 3. Entertainment/ Band
4. Caterer
5. Florist

6-8 months before the wedding:
Search and select a wedding dress or wedding gown
Search and select the bridesmaid dresses
Start making honeymoon plans
Finalize plans and book the photographer, videographer, band, caterer and florist
Finalize the guest list

3-5 months before the wedding:
Book the baker for the wedding cake
Finalize the honeymoon plans
Select and order the wedding invitations
Select and order the wedding rings
Select flower girls’ dresses
Plan for wedding decorations and other program details with the wedding consultant

1-2 months before the wedding:
Arrange for the fitting of wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and formal wear for groom and groomsmen
Book hair and make-up appointments for bride and bridesmaids
Mail invitations
Finalize wedding details
Purchase gifts for the members of the entourage

These are only some of the things that must be included on the checklist of the bride. There may be additional things to be considered depending on the type of the wedding but rest assured that everything will be manageable if checklists are prepared.
