There are many different ways to cut out photos in Photoshop, some basic and some of it more advanced, and it's up to you to choose from these methods as to where you are comfortable using. Identifying the best cutting out technique will result to a more productive use of Photoshop.

Here are some methods on how to cut out images in Photoshop
1. Use of the Crop Tool - This is basically one of the easiest and most basic way to cut-out images in Photoshop. Though cutting is only limited to straight lines.
2. Use of the Lasso Tool - Lasso, Polygonal and Magnetic, these are the types of Lasso that you can use to select the area that you want to cut in Photoshop. Using this tool in cutting, you have more control over the area that you want cropped and cut.
3. Use of the Magic Wand Tool - This is one of the easiest way to cut out images. Select the tool, select the area and click. It works like magic. The problem is, sometimes it is not able to identify and distinguish colors that need to be separated and cut. So ...

4. Some may require more actions and a combinations of other tools to achieve the cut out desired but all the intricacies of these more advanced cutting out images techniques are all worth it since it creates a cleaner and more professional-looking image cut out in Photoshop. Improved techniques using these advanced methods in cutting out images in Photoshop improves the quality of selecting edges, letting you extract objects with ease.
