Are you a caffeine junkie like me? The aroma of brewed coffee can really stimulate the senses. But most persons will feel the effects more after sipping since this is when the effects of coffee really happen.
What are exactly the effects of coffee? Studies have shown this can boost the person's alertness, improve performance and concentration. In the body, this means a heart rate increase, blood pressure and basal metabolic rate. It will also help relax muscle tension and promote urine production. It is because of this that a lot of us have coffee while studying for a test, to help wake up in the morning or be able to work during night shifts.
Caffeine is the main ingredient in coffee. Research shows that it is not harmful to have one or two cups a day. However, those who exceed this can experience the negative effects such as difficulty sleeping, headaches, irregular heartbeat, nausea and muscle tension. This can also lead to heartburn or ulcer, which is why specialists also recommend individuals to drink in a moderate way.
Coffee isn't good for women who are pregnant or patients who have heart disease ...
... and they should stay away from it since it can cause birth defects or other health problems.
But people who consume coffee can also have the same effects by having produces that contain caffeine. For example, chocolate, sodas or tea.
Coffee would not make the individual do something foolish which is usually associated with the use of illegal substances or alcohol. But it can be habit forming. People who drink coffee on a regular basis and suddenly stop might feel what is called a withdrawal effects that will go away after a few days when they are able to once again drink a cup of coffee.
But coffee has been known to prevent certain diseases. Java for instance works as an anti-depressant, this is what I call good effects of coffee. The chances of developing Parkinson's disease in men is lessen by other types of coffee even if physicians are not sure yet of what is the cause of this disease.
Coffee is being consumed in almost every household. It can be purchased from the store or brewed at home or in the office.
The effects of coffee has on someone might be different with another depending on how the body reacts to the caffeine so when the individual feels this is enough, it is time to stop rather than feeling the negative effects of drinking too much. Nonetheless it is hard to beat a good cup of coffee in the morning. But since I want to better take care of my health I will try to drink a bit less coffee and start drinking some green tea during the day. Well like I said at least I will try.
