Have you ever been to London before? If you are planning your first trip there you have some real treats to look forward to. This is a city that really never sleeps, because there is always something going on and things to enjoy there.

If you want to have the best weekend in London you possibly can, it makes sense to plan ahead. If you wing it and leave everything until the last minute you may find you run into problems.

For example it is always a good idea to book your accommodation ahead of time. Hotels get booked up very early in some cases, and you don’t want to arrive to find there is no room for you. Look at hotels near Hyde Park London if you want something stylish and welcoming. Alternatively if you will be arriving in London on a train coming into Paddington Station for example, look for a hotel near Paddington. It makes sense not to carry your luggage further than necessary!

Before you book into a hotel you should think about which sights you would like to see in ...
... the city. You don’t have to have a minute by minute itinerary but it does help to know roughly where you might go. This will help you decide whether to choose a hotels near Paddington for example, or one of the hotels near Hyde Park London. You don’t want to travel any further than you have to, even though getting around on the Underground is relatively easy to do. If you can book a hotel that is within walking distance of everywhere you want to go to, so much the better.

For instance you might want to explore Hyde Park itself and then move along the road to Kensington Gardens. You’re not far from Kensington High Street and its many shops, or Notting Hill Gate, in this area. Alternatively you may want to get closer to the West End, which would mean choosing another hotel in some cases. It all depends on what you want to do and where you want to do it.

If you want to see a show in London you can either book the tickets in advance or see what you can get on the day. This means you should be prepared to get any seats for any show, since you never know what will be available.

In the end there are lots of things you can do to enjoy a weekend in London. From landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye to West End shows and shopping, there is never a shortage of things to do. The only question is which activities you’ll be choosing.
