Have only limited drinks available for everyone. This will cut down on your costs on drinking. Have a few options available and organize a few mock tails too to suit all palates. You could also organize a morning or afternoon affair in which hard drinks are not normally necessary. So there you go!

Now we come to the decorations. With flowers and ribbons and various fabrics and candles you can bring color and splendor to your reception hall. You could also hire some plants to accentuate the effect. You could even go in for a theme and create magic at very low cost with the kind of creativity that you put into it. You could ask family and friends to pitch in with their ideas and decorations which they would willingly help you with.

You could do a lot of saving on the music by hiring or borrowing a friend`s music system for the occasion. A live band would cost a lot so don`t go in for that.

There are certain items like the silverware or the punchbowl that you could borrow from friends and that would also cut down on your costs.
