Reasons Why Your Teeth Become Darker Over The Years

Everybody keeps track of how their teeth look like as they get old, this is actually a subconscious process and in people who are heavily obsessed about their physical appearance the changes may be even more obvious. During our childhood years we were blessed with pearly-white teeth however, as our eating habits change so will the appearance of our teeth, let's take a look at some of the factors which play a huge role in changing the appearance and natural color of our teeth as the years go by.
Medications:
When it comes to teeth discoloration that many people consider the fact that some of the drugs and medications they use on a daily basis may be affecting the aesthetics of their teeth. Mouthwash liquids which contain chemicals such as cetylpyridinium chloride and chlorhexidine can contribute to teeth discoloration, so will antipsychotic and antihypertensive drugs. Medications which contain tetracycline and doxycycline are also linked to the decay of the natural look of our teeth.
Foods and drinks:

... basis, products such as carbonated drinks (colas), coffee, tea, wines and even certain fruits and vegetables such as apples are said to change the natural color of the minerals which are found in our teeth.
The diseases and treatments:
Not many people talk about diseases or the treatments which are applied to a patient in order to heal them to be the possible cause of discoloration but the sad truth is that they are. Certain infections which may be acquired by pregnant mothers may end up like in the child's enamel furthermore, chemotherapy as will as head and neck radiation may cause rapid discoloration.
Tobacco, cigarettes and poor oral hygiene:
These are very common causes for teeth discoloration, it is common knowledge that chewing or smoking tobacco/cigarettes and severely stain a person's teeth so will inadequate brushing and flossing on a regular basis.
There are several other causes which may be linked to discoloration such as age and many others, however these are the most common reasons for a person's teeth to change their natural color as time goes by, the best way to preserve a beautiful color is to keep a good hygiene, not to consume products which will obviously affect our oral aesthetics and to visit the dentist at least twice a year.
