Everyone born today has to grow old and pass out of the world. This is a vicious cycle where are born, live and die. During the ancient days children took care of their parents when they grew old. The parents did not have to worry in these lines. People were having little work to do and had very less commitments. People did not have to go far places to work. Most of them in joint families and all the children stayed along with their parents and the children could do not even have the necessity to take turns to keep their parent with them. The families were united and children listened to the father even when they flew up. The father was the head of the family until they lived in this world. The after the father the duties were laid upon the eldest son to take most important decisions in the family. Even the eldest son had all the courtesy to consult with the other family members and take decisions for the betterment of the family. Hence everything went perfectly well most of the time for the parents.

However, the world has entirely changed today. The scenarios are entirely the opposite of what used to happen in ...
... the olden days. Now we listen to what is mentioned above, then this could sound like a perfect model. However, hard people try, only a portion of them succeed in living this way. The modern day families are totally independent. Unlike the good old day, the children take their own decisions without any consultation with any elders. The facilities that people had in those days are no longer available. Most people go to work and earn their own living. Hence, they don’t have much time to spend time at home. Even the parents have let their children to be independent and most of them like it that way. In most households children separate from their parents once they complete their studies. With the advent of technologies, there are numerous job opportunities and people have to move away from their parents in search of their careers. Due to all these factors, the parents are forced to be away from their children even if they want to. Hence the parents have to look after their own life and cross difficulties even at such age.

While there are families where children keep their parents along with them, however, this number is significantly less. We can see about ten in hundreds who live this way. There is another set of category of people. They are forced to stay away from their parents; however, they look after their parents even while they stay apart. They send money to their parents every month or so. The parents also send their blessing and appreciation for doing so. However, a portion of people are really hard on their parents and sometimes ill-treat their parents. This is not advisable in most cases. The parents are thrown out of the house at most times. Hence they do not have a place to go anywhere. It’s for the benefit of these people that there are people who have come up with the concept of elder care. However, elder care existed even during the olden days. Only few old people who were mentally not well were sent to these centers. Today, Elder cares are filled with old people. All these people in the Eldercare are mostly separated from their families and don’t have anybody to look after them. While some of the elder cares do a wonderful service. Some of them do it absolutely free of cost. Some of them charge them liberally. Unlike day cares for children the Eldercare are more difficult and a load of appreciation has to be contributed.
