Young women members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints learn how to be the women they would like to be by being members of the LDS Young Women Organization during most of their formative teen years. This organization is one of the oldest in the Mormon Church, with its start being in 1869, when it was founded as a subsidiary to the Young Gentlemen's and Young Ladies' Relief Society, the church's oldest youth organization, by the LDS Church President Brigham Young.

Generally speaking, the LDS Young Women Club's membership consists of all of the Mormon Church's females who are from 12 to 17 years of age. At the congregational level, these organizations are usually headed by fully-matured women who are called Young Women Presidents.
