The computer world has swept away the manual functioning in many fields. These days even in schools and colleges computers are used to educate the kids, as it is considered that visual studying helps the brain to remember the studied material easily and for longer period of time. Computer not just provides visual interaction; it even provides the space to save the required material i.e. important information for further usage. In any industry the need of computer has elevated and has taken over the storage aspect on papers, files and registers to save the data, to storage of all the important information in the digital space available in computers, which is considered most essential in the proper functioning of the organization or factory. Since, one could save information in large capacities, the usage of computers in every field expanded largely.

The server would take the command and search for the required information in its database, and if it found relevant information stored in there, it would provide that particular information to the user. Basically, the server system acts like a host between the information that is stored and the user who makes the request for that information. Every computer runs on a particular set of server system.

Since server system is considered to be the integral part of the entire network under which the computer functions, the user can make the right use of the computer to extract all the information that is stored within the database of the computer. The capacity of the server system is limited, but, this cannot be considered as the drawback. Individual users i.e. computers used for personal use only can make the optimum use of the server system with respect to storage, or else, the availability of external hard disk and many other varied kinds of storage solutions can definitely be used for storing important data. But the server system utilized in firms needs to be of high capacity, so as to store information with large capacities. And, if the server system gets flooded, other storage solutions like SAN, NAS, Hard disks etc. can be used by the organization to store their critical data for however long required.
