All the countries of the world have flags. Usually the colors in the flags symbolize patriotism. In U.S.A, the flag colors are blue, white and red. Colors can stir emotions as well. For instance, blue is considered very very conservative where as red is one color that induces the feeling of power and aggression. Warmth of the mind as well as warmth in terms of temperature is represented through colors such as yellow and orange. Colors such as blue, green and black are considered cool. If you feel depressed and low then you would say, “I am feeling blue” when you fume with anger the color that you associate with is red of course. Yellow is associated with the feeling of fear. You go green with ecology.

Native Americans have four colors which they consider to be sacred and the colors are turquoise, white, yellow, and black. These four colors are said to represent four sacred mountains. Similarly people of Iowa prioritize four colors namely black, yellow, red and white. They are believed to symbolize the four directions, their flag and also the four different races of mankind. Colors play a major role in therapy. Blue color is capable of reducing respiration and lowering blood pressure thereby creating a calming atmosphere for the patients. Whereas patients who see the color red tend to panic more because they believe that something bad is bound to happen to them when they see the color red. The color green is used to treat people with anxiety and depression because it soothes an emotionally disturbed person. Studies also reveal that violet color relieves people suffering from migraines as well.

Black represents authority and power where as white is meant to symbolize innocence and purity. That is the reason why brides wear white color. But the problem with wearing white colored clothes is that they reveal dirt very clearly. Green refers to nature. It creates a calming and refreshing effect on people. People who play host on television have the habit of sitting in green rooms to relax themselves. People who are on the fashion consultancy field usually ask people to wear blue color to the interviews because blue represents loyalty. The color red increases your heartbeat.
