Let's review the conventional mistakes made as soon as people elect to lose body fat. People tend to believe the best way to lose body fat is to skip meals. People seem to think that if they eat less, then they are doing the right thing. While this may be true to some extent, skipping meals is not a good choice for an individual that has decided to eat less. The reason this is not a good choice is since the person's starvation system kicks in, that causes a drop in metabolism, a loss in muscle, and an increase in the individual's appetite. One way to overcome this dilemna is to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day. Most drawback at this suggestion because they don't have the time. However, if those people considered using meal replacements (i.e., powders, bars) for 3 of their 6 smaller meals, then their goal of eating 5 or 6 meals a day would not seem so far fetched.

Well, now that spring is here and summer is getting near, everyone wants to shed the pounds they have added on over the winter, so they can look sexy on the beach. Due to bad information through much of the fitness industry, many trainers will tell you to ...
... vary your exercise routine from a muscle building routine to that of using light weights with a high number of reps so they can lose body fat. That is total fabrication. Think about it. If you have muscle underneath your body fat, how can a high rep, light weight routine possibly help you to remove the body fat covering your muscle? That doesn't make sense. If you want to build muscle, you must use low reps with heavy weights, while exercising your complete body, not just one part of it. Your workouts should be intense and you must eat the appropriate foods. That's not rocket science folks, that's just the way it is.

You must be serious and commit to these things if you truly want to lose body fat. You must keep track of your daily calorie intake so you can know what you need to do to correct your eating habits. If you don't know what's going into your body, how can you know what to modify? Now, if you want to burn calories, you must make a commitment to exercise "with intensity" and you must learn to adjust your exercise routines, so your body won't have a chance to become used to to a set routine. That's how you're able to keep your metabolism raised to a high level on a constant basis, which will burn calories and enable you to reach your goals. If you're still reading this, then you must be serious about your desire to lose body fat. That's good.
