Each and every house should have smooth, clean, flat interior walls and ceilings and the best way to achieve it is to hire the services of people expert in plastering and rendering in Whitehall and Camden. It is true that some things are better off being done by professionals if you want the best results and plastering and rendering is one such thing.

Traditionally plaster was applied by using a thick layer of backing plaster on which another thin layer of plaster was applied to give a smooth look, however this method had its own disadvantages as you had to use materials that stayed wet for a long time and took a lot of time to dry. But service providers of plastering and rendering in Camden and Whitehall nowadays do not use such techniques. When plastering walls that are made from concrete blocks professionals use plasterboards. These plasterboards easily cover up the imperfections of the wall, are easy to setup and work with and provide a smooth look. With advancement in construction technology nowadays you can achieve the same feel and ...
... look as with traditional plastering by just using plasterboards. These boards also known as drywall or gypsum board are panels made from gypsum plaster which are then pressed between two thick sheets of paper. Due to the various advantages offered by these boards several service providers of plastering and rendering in Camden and Whitehall prefer using these boards over other methods.

Plasterboards are smooth, easy to decorate and can easily be setup; they have become the most common material used in interior decoration these days. They are available in different shapes and sizes thus they can be used almost on any kind of place and surface. There are also special types of these boards available which act as insulators and can help you in maintain a good temperature within your house. There are varieties that can withstand damp high temperatures, water and steam and are great for use in bathrooms. It is no wonder that professionals in plastering and rendering in Whitehall and Camden prefer using these boards to achieve high quality results.

Nowadays there are two types of plastering techniques in use regarding plaster boards:
Dry Lining: It refers to the installation of large flat plasterboards that cover wide areas. They can be installed by nailing them or screwing or by directly bonding them to the walls. The nail heads and joining areas are then covered with plaster tape. This technique is easy but requires a liitle bit of coordination.

Skimming: Plaster skimming is done after dry lining or wet plastering. A thin layer or coat of plaster is applied on the surface; this layer is very thin (2 to 3 millimeters in thickness) and creates a flawless surface ready to be decorated. Plaster skimming has several advantages one of them being that it gives a traditional solid plaster finish look.
