How To Do Face Makeup

We´re all looking for that flawless, porcelain textured skin- but if the gene Gods aren´t with us, there´s really little we can do except learn how to do face makeup of course!
It´s really not that difficult, but it does take some practice, testing and failing until you finally have it down. While you are doing all this, there are of course great guidance on how to do face makeup and that is exactly what we will take you through now.
PREPARE YOUR SKIN
Most know that you should always clean and exfoliate your skin for it to be healthy and glowy, but it is also a big help when it comes to later application of foundation, concealer and powder. If your skin is un-kept, it often creates a thick layered skin with uneven layers and coloration that will make it tough for whatever makeup product you are using to apply correctly.
GET YOUR COLORS RIGHT
This is the tricky part for most as it is not easy to stand in a makeup store filled with foundations in all different colors, bottles ...
... and textures and you have to choose just ONE? It´s almost impossible without a little help. Although many beauty store workers know a lot about makeup, they are not necessarily makeup artist- so don´t always rely on getting the best help there. You should really test out the different colors on the chin of your face, and the one that seems to not be there- is the one for you. But to ease the process further, you should know that most have a yellow undertone to their skin. A pink undertone is usually reserved for pale skin with red hair or some black skin types. The rest is usually yellow. So start there, and then look at the color of your décolletage area- which is just above your breasts and before your neck. You want the color to match here too, although this area often is a tone darker than your face- so if you find something between your face tone and your décolletage tone you are good to go!
APPLY WELL
To use a foundation brush is always very handy when learning how to do face makeup as it will go on so much more even and also look more natural as it is pushed into the skin. It also saves you money as it doesn´t need as much product as a sponge or your hands may.
FINISH IT
A good powder is key to a porcelain look, but it doesn´t have to be a visible or covering one, it should be loose, translucent and silk like. Just to matt down slightly and to keep the foundation in check throughout the day. There are many good brands so you should play around with it, maybe by placing your foundation on the back of your hand in the store and then adding the powder over.
