Cry Baby is a Broadway musical version of the 1990 movie under the same name by John Waters. It explores the dissident side of John's mind. Although the plot is the typical bad guy versus good girl, the charisma exuded by each character and the rebel of the teens of 1950s is worth a watch.

The play Cry Baby revolves around the love of two people from opposite backgrounds. Allison is unable to resist the ‘bad guy' charm of Walker and is determined to find out how bad he is. Plenty of amusement erupts in the story when their town tries its level best to keep the two lovers on their respective tracks. What you can observe in this play is teenage rebellious love, petulant parents, and some rock'n'roll music.

When the striking dame of comedy, Harriet Harris as Allison's grandmother Mrs. Vernon Williams; the multi-talented James Synder as Wade Cry Baby Walker; and the irresistible Elizabeth Stanley as Allison Vernon Williams come together on the stage, you can expect no less than a completely entertaining and amusing show.
