Marsha Kent is a marketing professional. She is the Jack, or shall we call her the Jill of all trades. A marketer, a product connoisseur, an infomercial producer, she is all of these and more….
Marsha has always been a pro at generating funds for her projects. Be it for the slew of infomercials that she has been promoting, or for the sole purpose of brand distribution- she has always been adept at building up a reservoir of funds, which is then channelized into various processes of the company- marketing, selling, transacting and co-ordinating. Marsha Kent is an expert in creating the right kind of TV commercials for her products, or ‘infomercials’, as they are called. “The consumer at the other end of the tube should be so convinced about the product that he sees on television that he simply has to buy it”, says Marsha Kent. Product positioning is also a creative skill that Marsha Kent has in plenty. She has sold products from every genre imaginable- Cosmetics, Personal Care, Fitness and Houseware, you name it , and Marsha would have lent them some of her wisdom. Especially in the Fitness segment, all her products were runaway hits; the Ab Coach, the Abflex Fitness System, the Bun & Thigh Sculptor and Micro Buddy, all of which were launched under her watchful care. The market was starved of products that really worked, and customers were lining up for more and more. Her skill in reading the markets was so profound that all her products started grossing millions of dollars in sales within weeks of their launch. This was the case for her products in USA. Even in India, the story was no different.
After spending days and weeks in behavioural analysis and a thorough, detailed study of the demography, Marsha Kent began to work in India. The Indian consumer was driven by the value-for-money principle. He wanted products that were good, but he also wanted them to be smartly priced. This Marsha understood only too well. And she gave the Indian consumer what he wanted- products that added value to an elegant lifestyle.
