Human race is certainly the most critical of its kind. Not just because no other race like it exists in the world that is so intelligent and so conscious of its needs and always tries to get its needs fulfilled or the other. Believe it or not, there is always a stiff competition among individuals. They try to get things done their way- as they suit them, but often their suitability obstructs the way of others. And this often becomes the cause of conflict.
All individuals are given equal rights. They are equal and have equality in almost every field of human reach. But sometimes the individual fall short on their behalf or in clear terms I would say they lack something that others have.
This lack can either be by birth or can be an end result of some painful incident in their life time. I’m here talking about disability. Disabled individuals are a part of our society and we can easily find them around us. The only thing that differentiates them from the other humans in the race is their disability. The disabled individuals are supposed to be given some special treatment and rights and for that the normal individuals have to sometimes modify their living and lifestyle. And this modification often gets them into some bigger conflicts.
In that case there is dire need of disability awareness. This awareness is needed not only for the normal individuals but also for the people with disability. The normal individuals need to understand that the disabled are also like them. They also need a status of equality in the society and they just can’t be denied of what belongs to them because of a particular non functional body part. And further, they need to understand the fact that if they are modifying their lifestyle they are not affecting their routine any way but are contributing to the development of the society as a whole.
And a crucial part of this disability awareness program is to allow the disabled know and understand their basic rights. Often the people with disability are guided by an inferiority complex. They need to get out of it. This complex often turns them into rustic and sympathy grabbers. And this attitude sometimes becomes the cause of their solitariness.
The are to be told their disability is for no reason a complexity. Though they need special attendance towards their need but that is not to elate their inferiority but to let them enjoy equality with other individuals.
