Most people still like to provide some kind of celebration afterwards, but you might like to keep this simple and do something at home instead of renting somewhere and getting caterers in. As you can see there is a lot of planning to be done, regardless of the nature of the event you have in mind. The more notice you give people the easier it will be to get all the guests you want to attend. Furthermore it gives you time to spread the cost of everything from the boys formal suits to the catering.
