Police lightbars are extremely useful for emergency vehicles carrying law and enforcement officials. The good thing about these light bars is that they are designed to last through the toughest weather conditions and extremely rough handling. There are many individual components which are provided in a light bar kit. The number of components varies depending on whether you go for a full- fledged light bar or a mini bar. The light bar kit comes with LED elements, whose size varies depending upon the module in which they are used and the length of the light bar. For example, a 16 inch mini bar could have anywhere between 8 LEDs to more than 50 LEDs. There are 5mm LEDs with a power rating of 1W and 10mm LEDs which consume more power but offer greater lighting.

Gen IV LEDs are used for ultra-bright lighting. Police lightbars come with LED elements in several different colours like amber, red, green, blue and white. Some light bars have white LEDs and coloured lenses. Toughened polycarbonate lenses are available in clear shade as well as in different colours to create multi-coloured beams. The same holds true ...
... for optic spreading filters which can be coloured for special lighting effects. Some light bars come with wide optics, smooth exterior, Lexan domes which prevent dust from accumulating on the bars and offer encapsulation as well. These domes are UV resistant and don’t yellow easily due to their inherent quality.

Police lightbars usually come with couple of flashing takedown lights that can be adjusted up to an angle of 15 degrees to the horizontal if required. The kit also includes a couple of flashing alley lights which too, can be mounted at some angle to the horizontal if required. Then there are flashing take down lights for centre section of the bar. All these light heads make use of super bright LEDs capable of providing high intensity lighting. The kit also includes traffic advisors with internal and external harness and standalone light heads capable of providing steady as well as flashing lights in multiple colours.

Police lightbars usually have advanced control modules which can help in operating the individual light heads. Most of the light heads and LED modules are capable of being controlled independently. When a powerful, coherent warning signal is required, all the lighting equipment can be connected with the sync harness, so that they can all be controlled together and can flash in sync with each other. The light bars come with driver and passenger side cable exits, waterproof connectors, spare LEDs, slide in lenses and optical domes. The light bars can be ordered in standard lengths varying from 44 to 72 inches. They can also be customised to suit individual requirements. Two wire control traffic advisors can be mounted on top of the light bars. LED strobes come with hassle free warranty for 2 years, ensuring that you don’t have to worry about their quality or performance at any stage, especially during critical emergencies.
