Bhagvad Geeta is perhaps the greatest gift that India has given to the world. What is it? — A collection of verses or a collection of spiritual sermon; cannot say, as it is very wide, however, for me it is a compilation of teachings or say lessons from Krishna [Teacher] to Arjun [Student]. It is in fact showshow a simple conversation between an inquisitive student[s] and equally patient, friendly as well as knowledgeable teacher can result into something so magnificent that it is held in immense respect by people all across the globe.A healthy teacher-student relationship is time and time strongly advocated by educationist as it assists the educator to shape the future of a child and give him or her right directions, International schools in Indiavalues significance of a healthy teacher-student bond, therefore strives to make it stronger.
A child spends almost 7 to 8 hours which is approximately 1/3 of the whole day. In fact, Teacher-Student relationship should be more deep, where a single person [teacher] plays virtually all the roles like mother, father, friend, guide – it is your schoolteacher who educated you ...
... and taught you to hold the pen and write your name; hence, in India, we compare our gurus [schoolteachers] to the god and give due respect. As a matter of fact many Indian scriptures [a major example, I have already cited in the above paragraph] are heavily loaded with the Guru-Sahishya stories. Following the Indian tradition, many IB schools in India try to create strong bonds.
Clear and one-to-one interaction between an educator and his or her pupil is the most essential aspect of good education, especially in the present times. How can such a communication take place without one-to-one bonding, it is therefore, the fundamental thing for anInternational school in India [it being a student-centric educational system] to make sure the conventional notion of a strict teacher and terrified student changes.
Adolescence is the most fragile state in one’s life; puberty brings a lot of emotional, mental and physical issues, which largely confuses the students, resulting in lack of concentration and dwindling performance. As I have already stated that a strong interpersonal bonding between a pupil and a teacher can lead to communication. Such relations make a student feel like approaching the faculty to share their problems; therefore, the teacher can help the kid, not only in his or her personal life, but also to improve their academic performance. Therefore, at International school in India, the faculties try to establish cordial associations with the student [particularly a teenager].
Moreover, with a strong one-to-one bond, the students can easily ask questions in the classroom as they would no longer perceive the teacher as a strict person who would give them a thrashing for no apparent reasons. As, the focus of IB schools in India is to make the child explore his own world and develop an analytical approach, hence, it encourages the students as well as the teachers to shed their traditional image and give a makeover to their relations, which help the pupils to become active learners.
In the present times, children are getting rebellious and leading to a path where they will either become a sociopath or will turn to be a depressed person. It is very important to have healthy interpersonal relations whether it is parent-child or teacher-student, so that these young and tender minds get the right directions. This is what International school in India does where it does something different than the usual, and helps the student and teachers to change their conventional roles and establish a sound relationship.
