The more space you have in your warehouse, the more money you can make. Not only will you be able to optimise the way in which you store products, saving time, but as demand increases over the busier periods of the year you will simply be able to store more items, increasing turnaround time and ensuring you can cope with demand.

Choosing the right racking is very important, but even once you have the right racking, spacing it out will be just as important. Try swapping ordinary fork lift trucks for Bendi or Flexi forklifts. These are much smaller than ordinary fork lift trucks, allowing your aisles to be narrower and in turn allowing you to have more space to store products. Having a one way system can also be beneficial as not only will this increase safety but you will also only need each aisle to be wide enough to accommodate one truck rather than two or more.
