What comes to your mind when you are thinking of camouflage pants? Well, different people have probably different associations. As this coloring is very closely connected with nature, many people may at once imagine a number of dinosaurs walking around the desert or the jungles in camouflage pants. But in fact this style of pants s rather popular among men even nowadays. Many males use the camouflage pants and other pieces of clothes colored this way in their everyday life. You can even find women wearing these clothes.

In reality, camouflage was substantiated by the ancient cave paintings. This coloring is considered to be the art of concealment, as the coloring consists of many natural shades which can perfectly hide the object on the background of the surrounding. Some reptiles are known to be real masters of hiding and concealment. Take the Chameleon, for instance. This unusual creature is able to change its color in this way becoming almost invisible in the surrounding. This is very helpful for this animal while laying and waiting for dinner and then to catch it in the moment. You can also find similar creatures ...
... in marine life. The matter is that some species of fish can hide amongst the corals to avoid meeting with the predator.

However, camouflage is more recognized in military terms where it’s very important for the military men and soldiers to possess the art of concealment. In fact that can mean for one life or death. Camouflage uniforms were widely used during the first World War after the development of airplanes. Walking under the aircrafts people on the ground were completely subjected to the attacks from above. Thus, for instance, French soldiers used to wear big cloaks green and brown in color. In this way, it has become easier for the soldiers to conceal themselves on the background of military machines and nature around them. In this way, camouflage uniforms got many colorings depending on the area they were used: from greens of the jungle, to pinks of the desert and even white for snowy terrains.

A great number of people used to wear camouflage pants and jackets during the demonstrations in the 1970's against the Vietnam War. These people who were the protesters wore these clothes in order to feel closer to the young people who were fighting on the war. They were willing to bring them home. Another wave of wearing camouflage pants and jackets took place in the 80's when thousands of Punk boys and girls were wearing this clothing during their rebellions.

It may seem strange but in the 90's Camouflage uniforms were not so popular among ordinary people. However, in the year of 2000 this fashion came back again. Fortunately, this was just a fashion idea of numerous Fashion Designers in the world who decided to promote this unusual fashion statement. So, Camouflage was back with revenge. At that period of time one could meet young people wearing camouflage clothing anywhere: from catwalks to sidewalks. Apart from camouflage clothing for children, many other items appeared, including camouflage pant cuffs, book covers, and bag straps. Kids can enjoy wearing camouflage pants and tops as well.

Today, in 2012 you can see camouflage jackets, pants, caps and tops almost anywhere. This coloring can be found on casual, work related, and even official clothing. All categories of people can wear these clothes beginning from schoolchildren and finishing with businessmen. This fashion seems to stay for a long period of time in future as well. It has started thousands of years ago and it will certainly remain an important part of the future not only for military purposes but also for style.
