Proper care is essential for the life of your car. With the change of season, every vehicle needs extra care. Like in summers, redundant heat can damage the car, so you need to take extra care and service of your car during that time otherwise at times they start showing the tantrums which became unmanageable at that time. So in order to keep your car cool and healthy, follow the below given few tips of car care during summers.

Clean your Car on regular basis
Regularly clean your car by removing dust, salt and sand accumulated on it to prevent it from rust. Clean under hood, wash the engine and wheels properly. Wash your car properly once in a week. Paint protects the underneath material of the car, so to preserve the paint polish and wax your car at least twice in a year.

Car Lights
Check your car headlights, parking, reverse, turn indicators, hazard lights are working properly. Check the small bulb is working above your car number plate.

Car Batteries
Excessive heat or high temperature can expand the acids and fluids in the battery of your car which results to leakage. This increases ...
... the chances of damage of your battery. Take your car to mechanic to test your battery if it is more than 2-3 years old, if needed than replace it with a new battery of good quality.

Car Brakes
Always check the breaks before driving whether it’s working properly or not. Sometimes road salt can damage your breaks, so you should check your car brakes after every six months or after 20,000 Km. Timely change your brake oil is also necessary to keep it working properly.

Car Tires
During summers as you see more tire debris on the road side and highways and as the temperature increases it affects on tire pressure to rise. So check the tire pressure once in a month. Tire Pressure should be within company specifications. You can also follow the recommendations provided in the car owner’s manual.

Car Oil
Regularly change the car oils. Many drivers only think about putting the motor oil in their cars. But your car has other parts also which needs fluid like transmission, brake, coolant in the radiator. Keep these fluids or oil topped up as these fluids keep the parts lubricated and also prevents your car engine from overheating.

Car Coolant
Most of the people don’t pay attention on overheat and coolant levels of their vehicle. Don’t forget to check the leaks in the radiator, for cracks, leaks and swelling in the rubber cooling system hoses. If your antifreeze is more than two years old then it’s good to replace it.

Windshield Wipers
Windshield wipers are critical for the safety but it has quite short life time. Check the wipers properly and replace it if required. You can get the wiper refills, which only replaces the worn rubber and cost you about half of the new blades.

After following all the above points your car is absolutely running for many more years than the normal. Also keep a tool kit and a first-aid kit in your car and enjoy the summer rides of your car.
