As a response to this many manufacturers, most notably Dell, have begun to manufacture their laptop chargers and laptop adapters with a Velcro strap to be used to wrap the wires up without putting too much stress on the cables. In short – if there is a Velcro strap on your power charger – use it! If not coil the wires up away from the adapter body, and not around the body of the power pack.
