Employees who feel as though they are part of a team, part of something, will work harder, show up for work more, show up on time, work later, and will get along better with others in the workplace. Instead of doing as little as possible to get by, they will do more because they will feel that they are getting a pat on the back for their work as well as having their voice heard. It is important, in any type of team environment, to let everyone have a voice as everyone may be able to contribute to the group effort. Having a voice instils confidence in the worker, makes them feel as though their work matters and also gives them that much needed bit of recognition that they will get when they present a good idea to the team. This can be taught at events that were traditionally used strictly to entertain but are now being used to instil these values while at the same time, still entertaining those present.
