The Education system has been prevailing since the ancient times. The ancient educations were quite different from the education that is provided today. Even today different institutions provide different kinds of education. However, during the ancient days, very few people like the scholars and children from the royal family had their education. However, these people were renowned in the kind of education they received. The children from the royal family were thought different kinds of Human Values and they learnt various Marshall Arts, as it was important for them to protect themselves in their subjects. The others who received their education were the teachers who taught them the subjects. The rest of them were scholars who have mastered various subjects and they were along with the king. However, the rest of the people did not get much of education. As time passed, only people who could afford to send their children for learning got them educated. The rest of them made their children work, even at a very young age.

... governments in different countries focus on education. This has become a primary focus in most of the countries today. Even some of the underdeveloped countries have compulsory education for their children. In many countries around the globe, children are provided free education. In fact, the books, uniform, lunch and snacks are provided free of cost to these children. In addition, some of the NGO's have focused on providing education to the old people as well. This is because, in places where people are not educated, at times stop their children from going to schools and colleges. This practice in fact affects the future of the child to a very large extent. Hence, creating awareness among the elders in these villages is considerably important for the children. This awareness brought in is really important because people are taught to lead a hygienic life and hence prevent diseases among the people. Today there are TV programs featuring on some of the channels; I have seen a few on my television powered by FiOS TV.

If we look at the educations provided in different schools and colleges today, children are taught various subjects. All the schools have common subjects like history, geography, mathematics, science, and languages like English, French and so on. These subjects are important for the children as it is helpful in their lives. So when the children reach the higher grades they can specialize on their favorite subjects and graduate in those subjects. Hence these subjects make children professionals, based on their qualifications. If we ask a child what it want to become in life? Most common answers will be similar to what we would have answered when we were children. They would mostly likely say an engineer or a doctor.

However, what I would like to state at this point of time. I know it is really important for the children to know their subjects science, social studies and mathematics. At the same time it is important to teach the children Human Values. Most schools today lag behind in this subject. Children today are far more intelligent than we were and tend to grasp things much faster than us. Most of time, bad things get inside their head rather than the good. Hence, what I feel at this point of time is that we need to teach children basic human values, where they learn some good values. This could make them good leaders for tomorrow. Out of the number of periods that we have in the schools today, like we have subjects like the SUPW, we should allocate an hour for Human Values as well. A lot many values can be taught to these young children.
