How do you communicate to a University Audience? How do you captivate them with your words?

As a University Keynote Speaker for the past two decades, I believe my latest book will reach a wider audience due to its layout and style.

“Xceptionalize – success secrets for students” is a graphic novel (illustrations are in manga) that tracks the daily challenges of Nathan a teenager, who is on the verge of being thrown out of his rented accommodation.

In the novel, Nathan travels through three mythical lands” Tir na n-Og…Tir na mBeo and Tir na Tairngire– in each land he is presented with different challenges; each with an appropriate learning point attached.

On his journey Nathan learns seven keys skills:
- The importance of taking personal responsibility
- How perseverance pays.
- How to persuade others?
- How to benchmark off winners?
- How to live in the now?
- How to highlight your purpose in life?
- How to unleash your potential?

Nothing too earth shattering about the content – however the graphic novel is somewhat of a first in this ...
... niche. It communicates key messages in a style students are comfortable with and indeed enjoy.

As the medium is student friendly it brings key life skill messages to an audience that statistics show worldwide is one of the most vulnerable in society. Thus the need for the information is grea,t but until now it is my opinion we are not reaching the audience because the medium hasn’t changed and there isn’t enough innovation in this space.

Without doubt there isn’t a need to conduct a research study to prove that students aren’t queuing up to buy a personal development book – the irony is that research does prove the need for this sector to absorb this type of information.

Furthermore interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligences are the most sought after and valuable intelligences in the world – they are the keys to a life less limiting.

As a University Keynote Speaker we need to communicate in our target audiences language and style – Xceptionalize- success secrets for students” does just that.

The follow on to the book is an App – “Xceptionalize your goals”- again illustrations are in manga. The app will deliver key motivational advice to your phone in addition to timely.
