The entrance tests for admissions into various medical colleges are appeared by many students because the medical seats are very much in demand. It is because of the nobility of the profession and the assurance of a stable and prosperous life that spurs the students to take up MBBS and BDS courses in various medical colleges in the country. Not only the students, but their parents are also very proud on cracking the entrance test and getting admission in the medical colleges. It is dream come true for every student, when they find their names on the list of the rankings.

Although the admissions in medical colleges is so much in demand, it is not always easy to score through the test and more so if the exam is of the range of PMT which is appeared by students from all over the country. For the aspiring candidates though, there is one respite in the form of many colleges throughout the country in different states, where the students can take admissions after getting ranked in the PMT. Those who are aspiring to study in the medical colleges, in the MBBS and BDS seats, should keep in mind a few things, before they sit down ...
... for the exams.

Thorough preparations – The course syllabus from which the PMT question papers are put, is from the 10+2 level. This means that the students will have to be thorough with the physics, chemistry and biology subjects. It will take some effort to complete different aspects of each subject as the question pattern is quite tough, because the exam aims to screen the best candidates for medical admissions. To be fully prepared, student should go through their entire course, undertake revisions, appear in various mock tests and also make sure that they know their subjects thoroughly.

Knowing the application and test – One of the underrated features that is required to be known about the PMT tests is that of the eligibility criteria of which the pass in 10+2 exams is important. There is a cut off mark for the tests in the 10+2 levels which is usually pegged at 55% marks for the general candidates. Students should remember the dates of entrance after they have filled in their application forms in the proper manner so as these are not rejected due to any mistakes.

Answering pattern – It pays to be knowledgeable about the type of questions that one would face in the entrance tests. The number of questions and the formats of the questions should be known by the students so that they are psychologically prepared about the pattern of questions. The time limit of the questions and the number of questions will help them to divide their total time for different questions. It would be unwise to devote more time in those questions which are difficult to solve and then fail to read through many other questions.

The strategy and planning of appearing in the entrance exams is very essential and this is perhaps the deciding factor among the candidates, all of whom have prepared thoroughly for the PMT. Since studies can be done by everyone, it is the finer aspect of filling the form, arriving for exams in time and such, which takes the upper hand in the final decision.
