On-line driving lessons are a totally new concept. They are a series of interactive lessons that are designed to teach beginners the very basics of driving. The majority of the lessons are in the form of video. They are very easy to follow and greatly accelerate the ability of young drivers to learn road safety and the art of thinking ahead.

How Online Driving Lessons Were Developed

On-line driving lessons were developed almost by accident. A driving school put together a short video demonstration to show pupils during their first lesson how to behave at junctions, how to control the car, how to plan ahead and basic manoeuvres. However, the driving school soon realised that students that underwent this part of the training learnt far quicker than other students who did not participate in this simple video lesson the first time they got into a car.

... completing other lessons at the same time. Those pupils who were not progressing as rapidly simply did not have access to a PC at home, so could not review the videos at home.

This realisation led the driving school to develop further video lessons for their pupils. Eventually these individual video lessons were developed into virtual driving lessons that can be accessed via a PC with a high speed Internet connection.

Where Can You Take Online Driving Lessons?

Unfortunately, these wonderful online driving lessons are not available to everybody. However, if you live in West Scotland you are in luck. This is because CAS driving schools offer access to these online driving lessons. Better still they do not charge their students for the privilege of using this wonderful learning material. In time, it is expected these driving lessons will be developed further and become more widely available. For now only a select few can benefit from them.
