Travelling is something a great many of us love to do whenever we can. Whether you enjoy the 5 star luxury of a Thai villa, or if you prefer slinging a few possessions into a backpack and hitting the road for a random adventure, it is always nice to have some idea of what to expect when travelling. This is why online travel reviews have become so popular in the last few years - people like to make informed decisions before they head off for a holiday.

Although travel review sites can be very informative, there has been some controversy in the past year over the fact that anyone with a grudge to hold can write a false review of a hotel to give it a negative reputation. Similarly, an overly good review can be written by the hotel or travel company too, so you are not getting an accurate picture at all. Luckily, there are people like David Lichtenstein who still offer accurate and honest travel reviews via their own personal blogs.
