The Danish silversmith Georg Jensen (1866-1935) first established a worldwide reputation as a designer of flatware, hollowware and jewelry in the arts and crafts idiom of the early twentieth century, then went on to become a foremost international designer of elegant and refined silver creations in the modernist style. In 1957, Arne Jacobson created a minimalist cutlery set which is simple in form and more contemporary looking than ever. Each piece fits naturally in the hand, inventing freedom and ease of movement.

Founded in Denmark in 1904, Georg Jensen has always represented refined and organic design that surprises and delights the senses. Georg Jensen applies its superior craftsmanship to a wide range of gold, silver and diamond jewellery, luxury watches, iconic silverware and flatware, and contemporary homewares. With 100 stores around the world, including the Tadao Ando designed, Rodeo Drive boutique in Beverly Hills and flagship store in central Copenhagen, Georg Jensen is at the forefront of contemporary design and innovation.

For the past century, Georg Jensen has stood for refined and organic design ...
... that is both pure and timeless. It is the elegant simplicity in Georg Jensen's products that surprises and delights the senses. Always distinctive and full of life, one never grows tired of using Georg Jensen. Fjorn Scandinavian offers the complete line of the Georg Jensen Living collection.

Set of Jensen flatware in the popular Acorn pattern, designed by Johan Rhode in 1915. Rhode was probably the most influential of all the designers who worked at Georg Jensen, and the Acorn pattern is the most popular of all of Jensen's flatware designs, still in production today. The set comprises of 12 teaspoons (medium size), 12 cakeforks and 12 butterknives, which are also suitable for pate. The butterknives all have silver blades (these are sometimes produced with steel blades).

At first glance, it is simple, slender and elegant. Look again and it becomes natural and intimate. The comfortable directness of this cutlery seems so obvious, but it is the result of Grethe Meyer's hard work and persistent endeavours that creates the ultimate cutlery design. Two new lines have recently been relaunched. Georg Jensen Heritage includes all of the premium silver cutlery from the early part of the past century. Georg Jensen Living includes all of the stainless steel cutlery. Please purchase on online www.etabletop.com
