Who does not store, May it be food, water, information’s, data etc.? Everyone does store whatever they find interesting and whatever they would want to be with them for longer period of time. Especially, information or data, individuals do store them in different forms and in different mediums for their safety and accordingly to their usability. Earlier, whenever anyone wanted to store or save any kind of information, they use to write it down either in a piece of paper or maintain a diary, thinking it would be present with them always and they can look up to it whenever they require any information scribbled in the diary. With the evolution of computers, storing in diaries and papers vanished in the course of time, as people considered technically storing data and information’s looked more genuine and standardized. Not just that, storing any kind of information on computers looked easier. Then came the era when storing of data demanded more space, and this is when other innovative forms of storage devices came into the picture and proved beneficial not just to the common man, even to professionals working in software firms.

Hard drive present in computers store information’s by just a click and the external hard drives are portable, so one can carry any kind of information in it wherever they go. Pen drives are another form of storage devices, which are portable and smaller in size, which are available in varied sizes and can be easily inserted to any USB port opening and can be operated. The oldest method of storage is a floppy disk. It considered as a data storage medium that is composed of a disk of thin, flexible (floppy) magnetic storage, which is encased in a square or rectangular plastic shell and can be easily inserted into the opening available on the computer.
