When people think of event organisers they either think of people who organise huge events like pop concerts and country shows or of people who organise more modest events such as village shows and weddings. Actually both are right because event organisers set up and run every kind of event you can think of.

They can do everything from find the venue, decorate or set it up to organise the catering. Exactly what they do is usually down to the client. The world of event management is an every changing world with demand growing in all sectors; however the sector with the biggest growth is business events.

What Business Event Organisers Do

The majority of business event organisers’ work consists of setting up and running conferences, trade shows or sales events. However, it can also include running a stand at other events or providing support at events that the firms they work for provide the sponsorship for. They also organise events like industry award dinners, corporate dinners and staff parties for bigger organisations. Some firms also set up team building and hospitality events.

Exactly what they ...
... do varies from client to client, but most jobs involve finding the venue and physically setting up that venue. They usually source simple catering services and set up the audio visual system. In addition they will block book accommodation and many offer delegate management services.

Finding Good Business Event Organisers

The best business event organisers are flexible and can organise any event you can think of. Look for firms that already offer a wide range of services they tend to be the firms that offer the best standard of service. If they already offer a wide range of services it usually means that they are well established and therefore very experienced. Narrow down you search to two or three firms and speak to at least 3 of them about the event you are planning. Use the one you feel most comfortable with. A successful event requires good communication between you and the firm you use, so you must feel comfortable with them.

Amethyst Events are very experienced business event organisers. They work with mostly multi-national firms, but have many smaller clients too who get the same high standard of service.
