All the countries are worried about the dwindling reserves of world's conventional oil. In the wake of this reality, Oil Sands Reserves are the hope for the future oil needs. These are the un-tapped non conventional reserves which is attracting worldwide attention. The Canadian Oil Companies are leading the way in exploring this particular Oil Sand that are present in Canada, United States and other countries like Venezuela.

One major reason that the Oil Sands Bitumen has not gone full throttle main stream is the fact that oil extraction from these reserves is economically non-viable to a large extent. The amount required to process the Oil Sands Bitumen is complex and energy consuming procedure. The American Oil Sands are mostly a mixture of clay along with water and bitumen, which is very thick semi solid oil form.

Because of its intrinsic nature the bitumen needs to be treated in a refinery in a heavy process before it comes in a conventional oil form and traditional oil products could be created out of it. Sands Oil contains ...
... enough reserves that can last for up to five decades. The only problem is the extraction cost and process is difficult and bad for the environment. In the present time only Canadian Oil Companies are major players for oil sands extraction. In fact 44% of Canadian supply is that coming from Sands Oil.

Currently biggest shovels and largest dump trucks are being used for strip mine the oil sands from Utah. In United States it has one of the world's largest sands oil in the country. The MCW Energy Group has a patented extraction technology that consumes far less energy and is more cost effective for extracting bitumen from Oil Utah. It uses a special solvent to separate bitumen and clay water mixture.

As the sands oil is going to play a major role in world oil supply it presents a unique and lucrative investment opportunity for small or large investors. Oil Sands Reserves could be the answer to our prevailing oil shortfall that could get worse in the future.
