What Makes Jumeirah So Special?

Dubai's lavish lifestyle needs no introduction. So do not any of its landmarks. There are dozen odd niche
and lavish parts in Dubai that take care of its business, fun and leisure activities. They include some well known hotels, Dubai apartments and business towers that we all know about. However, none of them would yield as much respect and brand value as Jumeirah does across the whole of Middle East. There are several reasons behind its success.

First of all Jumeirah is the oldest of Dubai's housing localities, developed mainly for the western expatriates in the duration since the 1960s. It vastly comprised of low rise private dwellings in those days, and still holds the same outlook even now to a larger
extent. It began to see a vertical growth though, in the era of post-1995 construction boom. Major landmarks like Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Emirate Towers and Oasis Beach Tower came into existence in the same duration, marking the start of a new chapter in Dubai's lifestyle.

This included the state owned hotel chain, Jumeirah International Group, which has its assets scattered across several countries, apart from Dubai. One of the recent additions to Jumeirah's hospitality is Oasis beach tower, which provides well furnished Dubai apartments for rentals
and purchase.

Jumeirah's brand value rose even further when the announcement of Palm Islands was made a few years ago. One of the three proposed sites for building these islands fell alongside the Jumeirah seacoast. Subsequently, the land was reclaimed from the seabed of this area to pave way for erecting sea resorts, villas, hotels and Dubai apartments. Major landmarks like Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Emirate Towers and Oasis Beach Tower came upon this famed land during this period. The laying down of Palm Jumeirah islands thus gave a tremendous boost to the ongoing construction activities in the whole region.

Many of those who had been living in the Jumeirah region for years have started moving elsewhere in the recent times, as Dubai keeps to grow all-round. This hasn't affected Jumeirah's status though, nor has it dealt any negative blow to its real estate prices.
Dubai apartments and villas in Jumeirah are still quoted among the most expensive ones, despite the growth of housing taking place elsewhere. The high rates of dwelling at the Oasis Beach Tower are a proof of this aspect.

Dubaians see in Jumeirah the legacy of their past - the perplexing rise and riches they garnered after starting from sand dunes. It required them years of planning and hundreds of thousands of expatriate and local hands to build up this marvel. The name Jumeirah had always been at the center of those developments. It may not evoke as much significance in the future as the city continues to grow on its periphery. The brand value of Jumeirah will, however, remain the same. Its will keep raising marts elsewhere, if not in Jumeirah itself. It will keep winning hearts and more Dirhams, even if no more Dubai apartments and the landmarks in Jumeirah like the Oasis Beach Tower were made anymore.
