What you may not realize is that they are prepared to host a field trip for your students. Children get a demonstration on pretzel making and get to roll their own pretzels. Demonstrations are held in the morning, Monday through Friday before 10:00 in the morning. Each child receives a pretzel and drink. Students are also able to take home an activity book to remember their experience. The cost is $4 per person plus tax. There size of your group must be between five and thirty students. Peterbrooke Chocolate Making: Peterbrooke on San Marco offers students a chocolate making field trip experience. The tours begin at 10:00 a.m. for students ages 5 and up. During the 30-45 minute tour, students will learn about the chocolate making process, the goals of Peterbrooke, how to mold chocolate, and how to make chocolate covered popcorn. Each student will get a sample of whatever is created. To make this school trip even better, you may want to read a book about chocolate or beans before field trip day. Your group size must be between ten and fifty. The cost is only $1.00 per person. These chocolate making school trips are generally offered between the months of March and August. They allow students to complete two-hour art projects free of charge. The materials are also provided at no cost to you or the students. These free classes are available Wednesday mornings after 9:30. The Murray Hill Art Center is also open for school trips every afternoon after 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
