Rome offers enough sites and attractions to fill more than one holiday. And as many visitors discover – all it takes is one visit to be hooked. A vacation in this city has much more to offer .Of course it would be perverse for us to hold off the Eternal City for too long. This is a city that has captured the imagination of visitors for millennia rather than just centuries. Once called caput mundi (capital of the world), it is a unique city worldwide because of the completely opposite styles of art and life that manage to live side by side there whether the Imperial, the Baroque sophisticated or working-class Rome.

Rome Tours provides one with chance to get fascinated with the glory of this city while visiting the interesting places. This capital city of Italy and of the Lazio region is located in the central-western portion of the Italian peninsula, where the river Aniene joins the Tiber. The list of the very important monuments of ancient Rome includes the Roman Forum, the Domus Aurea, the Pantheon, Trajan's Column, Trajan's Market, the Catacombs, the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Arch of Constantine, ...
... the Pyramid of Cestius, the Bocca della Verità and much more.

The city has over 500 churches many of which are absolute treasures of profound beauty. The larger, well-known basilicas are wonderful, but often tend to be crowded, noisy, and anything but intimate. St. Peter’s Basilica is a huge sanctuary of Christian religion. Its façade is 45 meters high, and its enormous dome is 136 meters. This largest church in the world overlooks the square that carries the same name that was designed by Bernini and which is surrounded by a colonnade. Grandeur and majesty: this is the sensation that one gets walking up Via della Conciliazione towards Piazza San Pietro. One of the most important works of art inside is the “Pieta” sculpture by Michelangelo that was created between 1498 and 1500. Much more than just a church tour, the visit is filled with ancient mosaics and frescoes, tombs and sarcophagi, details of the early Christian architecture and the incorporation of their ancient Roman and medieval substructure, and stories of worship in the early Christian world.

An enclave of Rome is the State of the Vatican City, the sovereign territory of the Holy See. It is the smallest nation in the world, Rome Vatican tours allows to explore the magnificent Vatican Museums ,this group of museums is divided into several sections such as the Egyptian Museum, the Ethnological Museum, the Painting Gallery and the Raffaello Rooms to name a few. As well as the ancient artifacts, it contains hundreds of works of art commissioned and collected by the Popes over the centuries and created by the most famous artists in history.
If you've felt Rome's appeal and would like to make it part of your annual travel plans, the city surely gives one the choice of spending a good time combined with exploring this legendary city.
