Dublin is well known as being a place of kindliness. City is also a very old and beautiful. It is more then 1000 years old. When you walk the streets of Dublin you will be able to see some wonderful old buildings like Churches and University. Dublin, a beautiful place with its countless spots and relaxing atmosphere, is truly many wishes to visit. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit.
Here are some of the main sites to see while visiting Dublin

1. The Guinness Storehouse
Guinness Storehouse is Country’s No. 1 visitor attraction.
At the Guinness Storehouse you will come to know about the world famous BEER.
At this wonderful place you can taste one of the world's best known brands in a totally unexpected way.
Truly it is the Heart & Soul of Guinness.

2. The River Liffey Swim
The River Liffey is another beautiful place to visit, especially swimming in that river. It began 80 years back and takes place in August every year, and involves more then 400 competitors swimming from Watling Street Bridge to the Custom House. So never miss out this great fun.

... Dublin Castle was built in 1204 by King John; it was built as a fortress suitable for administration and the defence of Dublin. The original building was built between 1204-68 on high ground in the city between the river Liffey and Poddle.
Before it was also surrounded by moat and high walls. Most part of the Castle was newly constructed after a fire in 1684.

4. Leopardstown Racecourse
This is a great place for you if you are fan of horses. In Leapordstown Racecourse, you have a great day out for only 15 minutes from Dublin's city centre.
Especially the summer races are often excellent to watch and the great entertainment for entire family. You will witness spectacular race and attracts trainers from all over the world.

5. Temple Bar
This area of city is mainly cultural focus and a wonderful tourist hotspot. This is the place of a number of Irish cultural organizations like the Irish Photography Centre and the Irish Film Institute etc. During late evenings, the area is transformed into bars and clubs, and is often considered the best place to go for an authentic Irish night out.

6. Trinity College Dublin
This is the first university established in Ireland. It was supposed to provide education to the entire country, it really only provided it to the protestant community. After 1793 the university was opened to Catholics.
The university is now the main university in the country and now houses such resources as the 'Book of Kells', the ancient document. You can just walk into Trinity at any time, how ever going inside and seeing the Book of Kells is only allowed at certain times.

7. St. Patricks Cathedral
St Patricks Cathedral was originally built as a church in 1192. It was built on the site that it was believed that St. Patrick performed his first introduction in Ireland in a well on the grounds, which is still there. It was promoted to a cathedral status in 1213. It did fall into poor condition though, up until the 19th century but was restored then by Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness. The author Jonathon Swift was dean here from 1713 to 1745.
