Many students want to obtain a good education and have a good career and to achieve this is through hard work and the right kind of attitude. AIEEE is considered to be highly competitive exam and students need to start preparing for it even before the approaching actual exam. AIEEE 2012 is conducted by the CBSE board and consists of 11th and 12th class syllabus.
Information
The All India Engineering Entrance Examination, popularly known as the AIEEE is one of the most prestigious exam that gives entry into Engineering and Architecture courses in the National Institute of Technology, Deemed universities in the states, IIITs, and other centrally funded institution.
After passing the examination one can choose their college according to their choice and pursue further education to become specialized in their choice of field. The AIEEE is an entrance exam that is carried out especially for those who want to study engineering, planning programs or Architecture in India.
Format
The AIEEE 2012 exam consists of 2 papers. Paper 1 comprises of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and have objective based ...
... question with equal weight-age. Paper 2 includes Mathematics, Aptitude test and Drawing. All the questions have 4 options to choose from and upon marking the right answers will fetch full marks. However, wrong marking will lead to subtraction of 1/4th of the total marks allotted to the question.
Eligibility and application
Eligibility required to appear for the entrance exam is to pass in the 12th grade. General category students need to have above 50 percent marks and the reserved communities above 40 percent in their finals.
To apply for the AIEEE 2012 exam, one can choose the online or the offline methods. The forms are availed also from the post from the Assistant secretary. One can also get them from Syndicate Bank or regional offices of the CBSE. The form will cost around Rs. 450 for the general category and Rs. 225 for reserved communities.
Important dates
Sale of AIEEE form will begin by mid December.
Online submission takes place from mid November to mid January.
The last week of December will be the last date for receiving application forms.
Exam centers
The AIEEE examination is carried out in mostly all the states of India including the Andaman and Nicobar islands.

The exam date is set to be on 29th April 2012.
