While it is true that PALS and NRP works more-or-less towards the same end, PALS in more for use outside the delivery room and NRP is more for use inside the delivery room. NRP certification is subject to the conditions that surround other certifications like the ACLS, PALS, BLS, CPR etc. Recertification will also be required after the lapse of a certain time period.
