When I began my own business I had a small team of employees but who knew that we would be the size we are today.

When a business is successful it expands and our one room standard office just wasnt practical anymore, so we decided to move to a larger more spacious commercial property which would for fill all of our needs as our current office is more of a hindrance than a help.

Finding a perfect office that was suitable for your business but yet big enough for your staff proved to be a difficult project but we have been able to deal with it. But thankfully we had help from the team.

Location,Location,Location is always very important when looking for a new office. Our office needed to be located within the city centre for a variety of reasons such as transport links and other conveniences such a post offices and banks. It will be easier for your employees to travel into work as well as potential clients and associates. Of course, every office wants a nice location within a building that isn't dilapidated and within a safe neighbourhood.

I always guaranteed that my employees ...
... were engaged in the process of moving office space. We would have meetings about potential locations and they would give me advice on where to look as an unhappy work force is not useful. Its always best to take into account the specifications of your employees such as is there ramp access in the new building and lifts? I also gave them as much notice as possible about the move leaving them to prepare and get ready without rushing and panicking.

My biggest tip for anyone moving office would be to make sure you set out a relocation strategy. Make sure you have a reliable removal company ready, you might also need storage too, as well as your internet and broadband supplier. The sooner everything is prepared and in good working order the quicker your staff can settle in and start work, a gap in business will result in a loss of money.

Always seek professional advice when leasing a new office building. Lawyers can assist with the process and proved to be very successful with our own move. However www.yourcityoffice.com proved to be substantially helpful, finding numerous perfect locations and even affordable Glasgow Office Space even helped with the moving procedure!

Once you have found the perfect office location which is suitable for the scale of your company, as well as all of your staff and technology, you can begin to then start the moving process which can be stressful but well worth it in the end seeing your business flourish! I used a checklist which prevented me from forgetting anything too important. If you have a a team of happy enthusiastic staff they are more willing to help with the move!

Now that we are all set up and working together within our new office, we have become accustomed to our new office. A good office improves staff spirit and creates a happy work climate.
