It is essential for safe driving that everything ahead of him on the road is clearly visible to the driver of a vehicle. At night or when visibility is poor artificial lights have to be used. Ordinarily headlights provide sufficient illumination but when there is thick fog, or snow, or heavy rain, or dust headlights are not adequate. Fog lights are meant to be used under such conditions. These lights are very bright and are generally yellow in color but fog lights of other colors are also available. They are mounted below the headlights on the front end of a vehicle. There beam is directed at a lower level and special lenses are used so that they do not disturb the driver of an oncoming vehicle. Fog lights are available for all types of vehicles like cars, SUVs, trucks, etc. Very bright sources of light like halogen lights, LED lights, or HID (High Intensity Discharge) lights are now used in fog lights. Some of these lights are purplish in color.

Headlights or fog lights ...
... help you see the way clearly but it is the steering wheel that enables you to move in the desired direction. Steering wheel is a part of the whole steering system. Steering wheel is controlled by the driver and his instructions are carried to the wheels of the vehicle through a mechanical device or a computer controlled system. Powered steering wheels need less effort and are mostly in use. Steering wheel height has to be so adjusted that the driver can comfortably operate it. Steering wheel is a very important part for ensuring car safety.

Fog lights as well as steering wheels are essential for safety and have to be checked periodically to confirm that they are always in proper condition for use. If you do not have a fog light in your vehicle; fog light kits with wires and switches are available in market. It is not difficult to install them but it will be better if you engage a professional electrician for installing them. You can look for them in automobile ancillary stores or you can also look for them on internet. You can know more about fog lights at www.ilovebodykits.com.
