Downloading free games is an idea that makes just about every Wii owner foam at the mouth. Wii's are pretty hard to find these days, and are slowly winning the next generation console war. In the rest of this article we'll show you how to get free games for your Wii.

There's a good chance that the humble, affordable, underpowered Wii is going to leave a permanent impression on the history of games consoles. There are more Wii owners than any other current generation console, and most of them would like to do nothing but download free Wii games. In order to start doing that, there are a few things every Wii owner should know about downloading free games...

1-Be aware of the law-so many people download everything they can get their hands on from all kinds of sites these days, and they do so with no knowledge that it's illegal. Think about it for a second-is it really worth going to jail or paying a big fine just to download free Wii games? The games won't be quite as free as you imagined if you have to pay a $10k fine will they?

2-Protect your computer. Ever wonder why some people seem to get viruses all the ...
... time while others don't? The answer is that they don't use a reliable antivirus program, and they probably spend their time downloading from disreputable places. If you have good quality antivirus software on your computer, there is no reason at all that you should be getting any kinds of viruses or anything like that, especially if you stay away from disreputable sites (more on this later).

3-Arguably the most important thing when you download free wii games is to find a site you can trust. You only have to open a newspaper or switch a TV on these days to hear news of some new shady website that's been scamming people or whatever, and this is especially true in the video games/technology areas. For some reasons these are the areas that the hackers/spammers and criminals seem to gravitate toward, and it seems like there is always someone ready to infect your computer or steal your personal details.

Previously, the majority of downloading on the internet was done through one of the torrent or peer to peer sites. Sites like this became popular because people could usually find whatever they were looking for. The only problem is that they are highly illegal. Governments monitor sites like this, which is why they are constantly closing down and moving to new servers etc. You have to ask yourself, is it really worth going to jail to download free Wii games. I honestly don't think it is.

Sites like this are also a godsend for hackers and spammers, as they give them unlimited access to innocent people's computers. My advice is to avoid these sites altogether.

Far better alternatives are starting to spring up in all different places over the web these days. There is a new breed of website, one that can offer you totally safe downloads at a very high speed. You can use them to download free Wii games and much more besides.

The way it works is that you pay an admin fee up front, usually something like $30-$50, and once you pay that you are officially a lifelong member, and get access to their database of games, movies, MP3s, tv shows, usually everything you can imagine. The downloads are pretty fast, and you won't have to do any fooling with files or whatever like you do with a P2P site. These really are the ideal way to download free Wii games.
