Government is investing in the economy like never before and its presence can be felt in almost all the sectors of the economy be it finance, Railways, Power, Communication and Airlines. The government companies are doing great and earning huge profits there contributing in the phenomenal growth process that India has been witness to. The growth rate of over eight percent per annum would not have been possible with the help of only private enterprises. No wonder more and people are looking out for jobs in the public sector.

The best thing about Government Jobs in India is the security that the job offers to the employees. Instability in the economy and recession do affect the status of any person’s job. This enhances the trust of an employee and he is encouraged to work harder as compared to a private company which offers little or no job security. It focuses on maintaining good relations with the customers and honesty in dealings. Though a commerce background helps a student in working in a bank, but a student with science or arts background can do as well as a commerce student. Also it offers job security like all other government jobs in India. The working time is fixed and the employee is showered with many perks along with excellent salary.
