You will be surprised to know how lowering springs can improve the handling of a vehicle. They lower the center of gravity of a vehicle when installed in place of the usual springs and that improves the handling. They not only improve the handling but also reduce body roll and improve the stability of the vehicle. They give a firmer grip while cornering and are of great help when taking sharp turns. They can be fitted in all types of vehicles whether it is a car, a SUV, or a truck. In the case of a car the lower stance also gives it a better look. There are different types of lowering springs for use on roads and for racing.

Lowering springs are sometimes used along with coilovers. When a car moves on an uneven road or goes off road it experiences shocks and jerks. To minimize the effect of these shocks coil springs are installed which provide a spring action. As an alternative a shock absorber, also known as damper, is also used. It provides a damping action. The coilover ...
... combines the two in one unit. In a coilover the spring encircles the shock absorber in the form of a spiral. To be effective the shock absorber has to have a certain minimum length, and the coil spring has to at least cover its entire length. There are some technical problems in having a long spring, so two or sometimes more than two shorter springs are stacked one over the other in a coilover.

At one time lowering springs were used in the front and coilover in the rear of a car to give it a distinctive look. Both of them are a part of suspension equipment. They make your ride more comfortable while improving the performance of the vehicle. You can also use them to give a customized look to your vehicle. You will be able to find them in automobile stores. It may be easier for you to look for them on internet and that will also be less time consuming. You can find all the relevant information on several websites. You can know more about lowering springs at www.ilovebodykits.com.
